     The Spartan Basketball Camp is open to players who will be enrolled in grades 3 through 8 for the upcoming school year.  Players will be grouped according to age and experience level.  The camp will teach each camper the individual and team skills needed to improve his/her game, helping them to play better basketball and have more fun on the court for the upcoming season.  In addition, our camp will prepare every camper for future seasons of Boys'/Girls’ Middle School, CYM, AAU and High School Basketball.  Our goal is to help each camper to reach their full basketball potential. 

  • Boys Basketball (July 22-26 and/or July 29-Aug 2) (9 AM - 3 PM)

    Cost: $210 which includes a $75 non-refundable deposit that will be applied to tuition.

    Camp Director

    Nick Sanna is currently in his 11th season as the head boys’ basketball coach. Last year Sanna was named 2018 Coach of the Year in the State of Delaware leading the Spartans to 15-5 record. During his tenure Sanna was also named Coach of the Year in the Catholic Conference in 2010, 2014, and 2016. He has helped produced several college basketball players. Sanna was a three sport athlete at Archmere Academy where he was 1998 Male Athlete of the Year. He is a member of the Archmere Sports Hall of Fame. Sanna is a graduate of LaSalle University where he played both football and baseball at the collegian level. He previously served as an assistant coach under John Gordon 95’ at Tower Hill and most recently was the boys’ junior varsity coach under Lee Sibley. Sanna In addition to basketball, he has been a part of the baseball staff for the last 17 years. Nick Sanna has been a member of the St.Mark’s faculty since 2002 where he teaches Spanish.

    Girls Camp Director

    Coach Freel is currently coaching his 2nd year as the head coach of the Girls’ Basketball team at St. Mark’s. Coach Freel has been a basketball coach in the state of Delaware for over 30 years. He previously coached boys’ basketball at Brandywine High School, Christiana High School and Wilmington Friends. He also coached girls’ basketball at Christiana High School for 7 years. Coach Freel is proud to be back at his alma mater, St. Mark’s, and coaching the sport he loves, basketball.
