  • What can the Spartan Day Camp offer your child?

    Summer is a lonesome time for young children if they have no one to play with or no place to play. The presence of a playground doesn't always ensure that children in the neighborhood will engage in wholesome activities. Too often youngsters don't know how to get started in a variety of pastimes. Any of these factors can cause the summer to drag by in a monotonous routine of inactivity.

  • Purpose of Spartan Day Camp

    The purpose of Spartan Day Camp has been to provide a well-planned program of varied activities under the supervision of an experienced counselor. The children share these activities with others their own age. In a camp a child learns teamwork, cooperative sharing, and consideration of others. Mild competition under proper supervision gives the camper a healthy attitude toward many skills so that he is able to participates in many new activities.

  • Size and Facilities of Spartan Day Camp

    Many times a good camp program is ruined because the camp is allowed to become so large that children become only bodies in a group too large to provide the personal touch necessary. At the Spartan Day Camp this is never allowed to happen. A counselor is provided for every ten to twelve children. To handle this number of campers, we have St. Mark's High School facilities available. These include a large indoor gym, ample eating facilities, three out door areas large enough for kickball and other outdoor activities. We feel that no camp can provide a good program without adequate facilities. Excellent facilities are available at the Spartan Day Camp.

    Monday through Friday 9:00 AM - 3:45. Before and After Camp is available.

  • We are centrally located in Newark/Wilmington Delaware near Pike Creek. So we are easily accessible to not only Delaware (DE), but Pennsylvania (PA), Maryland (MD), and New Jersey (NJ). We offer a range of summer activities for kids of all ages at our Spartan Day Camp.
